Embraer is showcasing its flagship agricultural aircraft, the Ipanema 203, at the 31st edition of Agrishow, taking place from April 27 to May 1 in Ribeirão Preto.
Powered by 100% ethanol, the Ipanema 203 combines advanced technology, proven reliability, high productivity and low operating costs. The aircraft remains a sales leader in Brazil’s agricultural aviation market and continues to attract interest from operators across Latin America. It has recently been certified to operate in Paraguay, supporting Embraer’s broader strategy to expand into new regional markets.
“Agrishow is one of the largest agricultural fairs in the world and the biggest in Brazil, offering a valuable platform for producers and regional operators to explore solutions that improve productivity and reduce costs,” said Sany Onofre, Embraer’s Agricultural Aviation leader. “The ethanol-powered Ipanema 203 is a strong ally in meeting these demands and boosting efficiency in the field.”
The aircraft is capable of covering more than 200 hectares per hour, delivering precise and consistent application without compacting soil or spreading pests through contact. This level of efficiency can translate into gains of between 5 and 15 additional bags per hectare, depending on crop type and operating conditions.
The announcement was made on April 27, 2026, during the opening of Agrishow, reinforcing Embraer’s commitment to innovation in the agricultural aviation sector.
In addition to product development, Embraer continues to emphasise flight safety through a range of initiatives including preventive inspections, safe operating practices and specialised training programmes for pilots, mechanics and operators. All agricultural pilot training programmes in Brazil include lectures from the Ipanema Customer Support Team, helping to instil a strong safety culture from the very beginning of pilots’ careers.
