Virtual Flight Safety School – Operational flying

In episode five, the last episode of Season Two of the Virtual Flight Safety School, Captain Scully Levin takes us through the aspects of operational flying.

Covered under the subject of operational flying, Scully talks about low flying and the risks associated, particularly ‘scud running’, as well as threats such as wires, aerials, water, sun and shadows. He also highlights the challenges of high level, short and sloping runways and then gives us a glimpse into his speciality of formation flying.

This series is a must for general aviators who have obtained their private pilot’s license with 40-50 hours and are working toward commercial certification at 200 hours.
