Virtual Flight Safety School – Navigation and cross country flying

Episode three of Season Two of the Virtual Flight Safety School, has Captain Scully Levin taking you through the evolution of navigation systems and the importance of the basics such as map reading and identifying key landmarks.

These are essential skills when it comes to cross country flying, despite the fact that most modern aircraft are fitted with GPS systems.

This series is a must for general aviators who have obtained their private pilot’s license with 40-50 hours and are working toward commercial certification at 200 hours.
