Virtual Flight Safety School – Instrument rating

In episode two of the Season Two of the Virtual Flight Safety School, Captain Scully Levin takes us through learning to fly on instruments only and obtaining your instrument rating between 100 and 200 hours of your flight training experience.

This incudes competence in flying an aircraft at a given speed, accelerating and decelerating, extending and retracting flaps, descending and climbing at a given speed, and turning onto a heading while descending or climbing.

This series is a must for general aviators who have obtained their private pilot’s license with 40-50 hours and are working toward commercial certification at 200 hours.
