With a vision “to build the busiest airport in the country” in the early 1970s, Fanie Haacke and Abe Sher conceptualised Lanseria International Airport to much protest from local residents who were opposed to noisy aviation activities on their doorsteps.
Fast forward to 2022 and Lanseria sits as a major international commercial and general aviation hub and the foundation of a burgeoning precinct that is looking to technology and logistics as mechanisms for growth and opportunity.
