Proflight Zambia is set to expand its regional network with the launch of a new route connecting Lusaka, Livingstone and Maun starting 2 May 2026.
The airline will operate the three-city link three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), offering a direct connection between two of Southern Africa’s top tourism destinations.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB) has announced that it will host a celebratory event to mark the inaugural landing at Maun International Airport on Saturday 2 May 2026 beginning at 12:00 PM on the airside.
According to CAAB, the new route is a result of Botswana’s Air Access Programme, an initiative aimed at attracting more regional and international flights to stimulate tourism growth, improve connectivity and create employment opportunities.
The Lusaka–Livingstone–Maun service will run until October 2026, strengthening ties between Botswana and Zambia by enhancing travel options for safari tourists, boosting tourism collaboration between the two countries and improving business and trade connectivity.
This development is expected to further position Maun as a key gateway to the Okavango Delta and reinforce regional tourism integration.
