From 1 November passengers will be able to fly directly from Lanseria to King Phalo Airport in East London six times a week and to Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) seven times a week. Ticket sales are already open with prices starting at R770, available through the FlySafair website and mobile app.
“We’re thrilled to be adding these new routes to the Eastern Cape from Lanseria, which were previously only accessible via OR Tambo airport. The launch comes just in time for travellers planning family visits or holidays to the province’s beaches and attractions this summer. This expansion is part of our ongoing mission to connect more South Africans to the places and people they love while keeping fares affordable and service reliable,” said Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair.
Travellers can also look forward to a new route from Cape Town to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport launching 2 October, opening opportunities to explore South Africa’s safari heartland. In addition, the airline will increase its Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport service to daily flights from 1 October, offering greater flexibility for both business and leisure trips to the Lowveld.
With these new additions FlySafair continues to grow its domestic network, giving South Africans more travel choices at competitive prices while supporting tourism and economic growth across the country.
