Fastjet Zimbabwe has successfully operated the inaugural flight between Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, connecting the nation’s industrial hub to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Scheduled services will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The route is serviced by an Embraer ERJ, providing the versatility to build a sustainable regional network while offering passengers comfortable seating with generous legroom.

Commenting on the inaugural flight, Bulawayo industrialist Busisa Moyo said, “Bulawayo provides key inputs and manufactured commodities that support households and power the Victoria Falls tourism industry from vegetables, meat, chemicals, foodstuffs and human capital. Victoria Falls is also a gateway into Zambia, facilitating exports by Zimbabwean businesses and farmers. This flight makes the movement of goods and business travellers easier while giving residents a reliable leisure option.”

Tawanda Gusha, CEO of Airports Company of Zimbabwe, added, “We are excited about the collaboration between Fastjet Zimbabwe, the Airports Company, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and the Bulawayo community to introduce this long-awaited route. It will contribute immensely to national tourism growth.”
