Textron Aviation has secured the first Brazilian order for its flagship super-midsize business jet, the Cessna Citation Longitude, marking a new milestone for the type in Latin America. The announcement was made at this year’s Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE), the region’s premier business aviation event.

The customer, a seasoned Citation operator with multiple Textron Aviation products in their fleet, including both jets and turboprops from the Cessna and Beechcraft lines, plans to use the Longitude for a mix of corporate and private missions. Delivery is scheduled for 2026.
“The Citation Longitude brings together range, comfort, and class-leading cabin quietness — a combination that aligns perfectly with the evolving needs of Brazil’s business aviation market,” said Marcelo Moreira, Vice President of Sales for Latin America at Textron Aviation. “It’s an ideal complement to our customer’s current fleet and strengthens our presence in this dynamic region.”
Textron Aviation continues to dominate Latin American skies, accounting for 40% of all competitive turbine aircraft deliveries in 2024 — more than any other OEM. Across the continent, there are nearly 1,000 Citation jets and over 2,100 turboprops in active service.
Designed for Distance, Built for Comfort
The Citation Longitude is built from a clean-sheet design and delivers a long-range capability of 3,500 nautical miles (6,482 km), with a full fuel payload of 1,600 pounds (726 kg). It boasts a spacious, flat-floor cabin that offers seating for up to 12 passengers, including a standard double-club layout that provides the most legroom in its category.
Passengers enjoy the quietest cabin in its class, with fully berthable seats, in-flight access to a walk-in baggage compartment, and intuitive digital controls via mobile device. The cabin is also pressurized to a low altitude of 4,950 feet (1,509 m) at a cruising altitude of 41,000 feet (12,500 m), enhancing comfort on long flights.
Optimized for Performance and Maintenance
Equipped with FADEC-controlled Honeywell HTF7700L engines, the Longitude delivers top-tier performance while minimizing operating costs. It features Textron Aviation’s AReS diagnostics system and 3D Technical Publications, which help streamline maintenance operations and reduce downtime.
The aircraft benefits from extended inspection intervals — every 800 flight hours or 18 months — and is built to keep operators in the air longer and more efficiently than ever before.
With its combination of advanced technology, long-range capabilities, and cabin refinement, the Cessna Citation Longitude is poised to meet the expectations of Brazilian customers and expand its footprint in Latin America.
