Smoke On Go! Talk show with Scully Levin | Pierre Carter

The 2022 Aero Club of South Africa Awards – James Gilliland Trophy for the most meritorious feat over the past year went to two recipients.

First recipient was Sling Aircraft for their trip from Lanseria to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Three Sling High Wings departed on 17th July 2022, arriving at their destination on 27th July. James Pitman was the subject of our last Smoke On Go! Talk Show with Scully Levin, watch the video here.

Second recipient was Pierre Carter, who paraglided off Mount Everest and into the history books. Pierre leapt off near the summit at an altitude of nearly 8,000 metres. He flew for 20 minutes and landed at Gorakshep at 5,164 metres. Scully Levin spoke to Pierre about his adventure……
