Nova & ITPS launch global aerospace training alliance

Nova Systems and ITPS Forge Strategic Alliance for World-Class Aerospace and UAS Training

Nova Systems has entered into a landmark partnership with Canada’s International Test Pilots School (ITPS) to deliver cutting-edge aerospace and uncrewed systems (UAS) training. This move strengthens the defence and aerospace capabilities of both Australia and Canada, while addressing the global demand for elite flight test and evaluation (T&E) professionals.

The agreement—cemented through a Memorandum of Understanding—will see ITPS’s internationally recognised programs offered in Australia for the first time. It also paves the way for co-developed aerospace courses and the integration of Nova’s high-tech T&E modules into ITPS’s curriculum.

“This collaboration puts us at the forefront of T&E training innovation,” said Dean Rosenfield, Nova Systems CEO.

🔹 Global Reach, Local Access
ITPS is renowned for producing world-class aircrew and aerospace engineers trained on both crewed and uncrewed platforms. Through this alliance, its programs will become accessible to the Asia-Pacific region, promoting innovation and cross-border skills development.

“This expands our global reach while growing a future-ready aerospace workforce,” said Dave Lohse, CEO of ITPS.

🔹 Powering UAS Innovation
The partnership focuses heavily on UAS development—an increasingly critical area for modern defence. Nova’s facilities in Victoria’s La Trobe Valley will serve as a launchpad for AI-powered drone training and testing.

🔹 Strategic Sovereign Capability
Both nations are aiming to future-proof their aerospace industries by building sovereign capability and nurturing high-tech talent. This partnership represents a bold step toward a more connected, agile, and digitally advanced defence training ecosystem.

“Together, we’re building a more agile training pipeline for tomorrow’s aerospace leaders,” Lohse concluded.
