Cessna Citation Ascend launch customer NetJets has taken delivery of the first three aircraft, marking a major milestone for Textron Aviation and the future of midsize business aviation.
The deliveries were announced in Wichita on 5 May 2026 with NetJets becoming the first private fleet operator to place the Citation Ascend into service. The aircraft is designed to deliver improved performance, operational efficiency, comfort and advanced technology for the midsize business jet market.
Lannie O’Bannion, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Textron Aviation, said the Citation Ascend reflects the company’s continued investment in supporting NetJets customers into the future. He added that the aircraft builds on the proven performance of the Citation family while introducing new technology and comfort enhancements aimed at fleet operators.
The Citation Ascend features a spacious flat-floor cabin with seating for up to eight passengers, generous legroom, a full refreshment centre and a large baggage compartment. The aircraft is equipped with the Garmin G5000 avionics suite including autothrottles for improved operational ease.
Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines the Citation Ascend offers increased thrust, improved fuel efficiency and a four-passenger range of 1,940 nautical miles.
Patrick Gallagher, President of NetJets Aviation, said the Citation Ascend represents the next evolution in midsize jet travel and builds on the success of the Citation Latitude and Citation Longitude within the NetJets fleet.
Over the years NetJets has operated several Citation models including the Citation S/II, Bravo, V Ultra, Encore, Encore+, VII, Excel, XLS, Sovereign, X, Latitude and Longitude. The new Citation Ascend aircraft will enter service immediately offering premium amenities and additional seating for both business and leisure travel.
Textron Aviation said operators will also benefit from its extensive global aftermarket support network which includes 20 company-owned service centres, 21 authorised service facilities, more than 40 mobile service units and 24/7 aircraft-on-ground support capabilities.
