In Madrid, Embraer and CAE have deployed their first E2 full-flight simulator (FFS) in Europe at the CAE Madrid Centre, near Barajas Airport. This cutting-edge simulator marks a milestone for Embraer CAE Training Services (ECTS), delivering advanced, regionally accessible pilot training for the next-generation E-Jet family.
“This simulator brings E2 training closer to our EMEA operators,” said Carlos Naufel, Embraer Services & Support CEO. “It’s a strategic move that aligns with our promise to stay close to our customers.”
The Madrid installation complements ECTS’s global network and reflects the growing demand for fuel-efficient E2 jets and proficient pilot training. With immersive CAE Simfinity integration and CBTA-based courseware, the simulator is positioned to transform training standards across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Meanwhile in Norway, the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation is expanding its Airbus H145 fleet, ordering three new five-bladed H145 helicopters. Known for their compact footprint and mission readiness, the H145s will enhance emergency response capabilities across the country’s rugged terrain.
The order will boost Norway’s air ambulance network and follows a longstanding collaboration with Airbus Helicopters. The new H145s offer improved payload capacity and simplified maintenance, supporting critical missions where time and efficiency are paramount. Together, these initiatives—one focused on training the next generation of pilots, the other on saving lives—underscore Europe’s investment in cutting-edge aviation solutions.
