THC’s rotorcraft strategy takes flight

As Saudi Arabia transforms into a global hub ahead of World Expo 2030 and FIFA World Cup 2034, The Helicopter Company (THC) is raising the bar for premium rotary-wing services — and its strategic choice of fleet is at the heart of that success.

Established under the Public Investment Fund as part of Saudi’s Vision 2030, THC has rapidly expanded to over 60 helicopters in just five years — becoming one of the Middle East’s largest operators. More than half of its fleet is made up of the Airbus H125, H145, and ACH160, chosen for their advanced safety, versatility, and unmatched mission efficiency.

“Safety is never compromised,” says Captain Abdulmajeed, Deputy Chief Pilot. “We’ve built a strong safety record supporting everything from tourism and corporate flights to EMS, aerial work, and commercial development.”

A Workhorse for Life-Saving Missions

The H145 is the backbone of THC’s helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) — which accounts for over half of its operations. With 18 operational bases covering nearly all regions of the Kingdom, THC’s fleet has already saved more than 5,000 lives since 2022.

Why the ACH160 Stands Out

Central to THC’s expansion is the innovative ACH160, which combines cutting-edge Airbus technology with passenger comfort and resilience for harsh Saudi conditions. The ACH160’s quiet Fenestron tail rotor, Blue Edge blades, and Helionix avionics deliver a smoother, safer ride — with smart autopilot features that reduce pilot workload and boost safety.

Its self-diagnosing systems, advanced climate control, and ultra-fast start-up time — rotors spinning in under two minutes — make it a game-changer for VIP and corporate clients who value time and comfort.

Ready for the World

From desert heat topping 50°C to quick turnaround demands, THC’s Airbus fleet is built to perform — and positions the company to play a critical role as Saudi Arabia opens its doors to millions of visitors.

With the H125, H145, and ACH160 at its core, THC is proving how strategic fleet choices can combine safety, reliability, and operational excellence — delivering world-class rotary-wing service in a region on the rise.
