The SUBARU Bell 412EPX has taken an important step in its international expansion and has embarked on its first-ever demonstration tour across the Middle East following a successful appearance at Dubai Airshow 2025.

The tour includes stops at key rotorcraft facilities in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar and is aimed at showcasing the aircraft’s capabilities to public safety and defence operators throughout the region. Configured for firefighting missions, the 412EPX is being demonstrated as a highly versatile multi-mission helicopter suited to demanding operational environments.

Bell Textron Inc. says the Middle East tour is designed to give prospective operators a hands-on opportunity to evaluate the aircraft’s vertical lift performance, payload capacity and mission flexibility. Interest is expected from government, emergency response and military users seeking a proven platform for complex operations.

The Bell 412 family has a long operational history spanning more than four decades with eleven variants supporting missions such as firefighting, law enforcement and search-and-rescue worldwide. The 412EPX builds on this legacy with enhanced performance and offers a maximum internal weight of 12,200 lb, an external weight of 13,000 lb and the ability to carry up to 5,000 lb on a cargo hook. A robust main rotor gearbox with dry run capability further enhances safety and reliability during critical public safety operations.

Momentum for the 412EPX continues to grow globally. In June 2025, Bell confirmed its first African order for the type with the Tunisia Air Force selecting the aircraft for multi-role military and security missions. Recent additions to the Bell 412 operator community also include the Japan Coast Guard, San Diego Fire and Rescue, the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior and the Croatia Ministry of Interior.
