Hosted by the Air Force Mobile Deployment Wing (Swartkop), this annual event is sure to be a memorable experience. With a combination of exhibitions, static displays, and performances, the Air Force’s current and heritage aircraft is promised to be showcased in a unique way.

Aviation lovers will love the sound of radial engines from the T-6 Harvard, the rumble of jet engines from fighter aircraft and the high pitched whine of turbine engines as helicopters take to the air.

Aircraft on show will include the P51 Mustang, Shackelton, C160 Transall, Puma helicopter, Alouette II, Alouette III, Mirage III and the Mirage F1. Many other types of aircraft are waiting to be explored. Come and see for yourself.

History

Air Force Base Swartkop, (ICAO – FASK) is South Africa’s oldest air force base and is home to the South African Air Force Museum. AFB Swatkop is located in the town of Centurion, Gauteng, which is part of the city of Tshwane.
