Otto Aerospace Secures Historic 300-Aircraft Order with Flexjet

Otto Aerospace has announced a landmark fleet agreement with Flexjet, naming the global private aviation leader as the launch customer for the next-generation Phantom 3500 business jet. The deal, announced at the UP.Summit, includes a firm order for 300 aircraft with additional options, representing one of the largest business jet orders in private aviation history.

The Phantom 3500 is a clean-sheet, ultra-efficient aircraft designed with breakthrough laminar-flow aerodynamics and precision all-carbon-fiber composites, reducing fuel burn by more than 60%. First flight is scheduled for 2027, with deliveries expected to begin in 2030.

“For 30 years, Flexjet has led through innovation, introducing tomorrow’s standards rather than reacting to yesterday’s expectations,” said Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci. “The Phantom 3500 exemplifies that approach perfectly, marking a bold step into a future where efficiency and sustainability stand alongside speed, comfort, and range as defining benchmarks.”

Flexjet plans to integrate the Phantom 3500 into its growing fleet, providing clients with a more sustainable, long-range travel experience while maintaining the personalized service that defines the brand. The agreement also allows Flexjet’s in-house maintenance organization to become an Otto authorized service center, ensuring long-term support for the new aircraft.

“Flexjet’s decision to base their fleet around the Phantom 3500 underscores the direction of aviation,” said Otto Aerospace CEO Paul Touw. “This order marks a turning point in the industry’s move toward sustainable, efficient air travel. The Phantom 3500 will redefine private aviation, lowering operational costs while enhancing the customer experience.”

With this historic order, Otto Aerospace and Flexjet are setting a new benchmark for private aviation, combining sustainability, efficiency, and luxury in a next-generation business jet.
