Textron Aviation has announced that Gogo Galileo HDX, the latest high-speed in-flight connectivity system designed specifically for business aviation, will soon be available for a wide range of Cessna Citation jets. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certification (STC) is expected by late 2025, enabling installation across numerous Citation models.
Gogo Galileo HDX uses Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology to provide global coverage, giving passengers and crew reliable, high-speed internet connectivity virtually anywhere they fly. The system is purpose-built for business jets and features two Line Replaceable Units (LRUs): a fuselage-mounted HDX antenna and the AVANCE router, which together minimize installation downtime.
Brian Rohloff, Textron Aviation’s Senior Vice President of Global Customer Support, highlighted the importance of the upgrade:
“Our customers expect to stay connected and productive while in the air, and integrating the Gogo Galileo HDX system ensures they have access to high-speed internet in-flight. This advanced connectivity solution underscores our commitment to providing customers with cutting-edge technology that enhances their flying experience.”
Once certified, Gogo Galileo HDX will be offered as an aftermarket upgrade at Textron Aviation Service Centers in the U.S., with European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) certifications to follow.
