Enstrom Helicopter Corporation (Enstrom) has delivered a new 480B turbine helicopter to Safomar Aviation (Safomar), its longtime authorized distributor serving South Africa and much of Sub-Saharan Africa. The delivery marks Enstrom’s first commercial aircraft delivery since resuming production, representing a key milestone as the manufacturer expands support for commercial and military operators worldwide.

Since establishing their partnership, Enstrom and Safomar have collaborated to support commercial, military and private operators across the region. In addition to handling direct aircraft sales, Safomar provides localized lifecycle maintenance and customer support services.

Enstrom Senior Vice President of Product, Sales and Customer Excellence Chuck Wade emphasized that the delivery reflects the ongoing strength of the partnership and shared commitment to the African market, while reinforcing Enstrom’s capacity to serve global commercial and military customers.

Safomar Group Founder and CEO Shai Shalem noted that the collaboration relies on trust, high safety standards and product quality, with both companies focused on expanding market presence across Africa. Following its arrival in South Africa, the 480B will serve as a regional demonstration platform to highlight the aircraft’s capabilities to prospective operators.
