Embraer has reached a landmark in its executive aviation journey, delivering its 2,000th business jet—a Praetor 500, the fastest and furthest-flying midsize jet in the world. The handover took place at Embraer’s Global Customer Center in Melbourne, Florida, to an undisclosed corporate flight department.
The Praetor 500 has become one of the most disruptive aircraft in its class, offering industry-leading performance with an intercontinental range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,186 km) and the ability to fly nonstop across North America, such as Miami to Seattle or Los Angeles to New York. The jet incorporates advanced technologies, including full fly-by-wire with active turbulence reduction, typically seen in larger aircraft, while maintaining short runway performance.
“Delivering our 2,000th business jet is more than just a milestone number. It is a powerful reflection of the strength of our product portfolio, our unwavering commitment to our customers and the dedication of our employees,” said Michael Amalfitano, President & CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “This milestone cements Embraer’s position as a global leader in business aviation and serves as a testament to the popularity of our Praetor family.”
Since entering the executive aviation market in 2002, Embraer has achieved an average compound growth rate of 14 percent. In 2024, nearly one in every three small and midsize cabin jets delivered worldwide was an Embraer Phenom or Praetor.
The milestone underscores Embraer’s sustained growth, innovation and reputation as a leader in the global business aviation sector.
