Virginia Airport welcomed thousands of visitors on 26 July 2026 for the Durban Virginia Airshow 2026 – G Force Fest, delivering a spectacular celebration of aviation, motorsport and family entertainment.

Hosted by the Smoke On Go Foundation, the event combined world-class flying displays, motorsport attractions, interactive exhibits and family activities, creating an unforgettable experience for aviation enthusiasts and the wider public.

Proudly headlined by Standard Bank, with support from SAB/Castle Lite, aQuellé, Boxer Superstores, NMI Group, Volvo, East Coast Radio, IGS Security, Netcare and other valued partners, the festival opened with an Emergency Services Cavalcade recognising the dedication of South Africa’s first responders.

The flying programme featured Jason Beamish’s opening aerobatic display in the Standard Bank-sponsored RV-7, the Skydive South Africa Prize Drop, breathtaking performances by The Marksmen Aerobatic Team, the Antonov AN-2 Marshmallow Drop, the G Force Air Racing Pylon Challenge, Sling Aircraft formation displays, the Atlas Bosbok STOL demonstration, spectacular Gazelle helicopter displays by Juba Joubert, freestyle motocross from Jungle Rush FMX and the ever-popular “The Crazy Flying” comedy act. The day’s action concluded with the thrilling Car vs. Aircraft Challenge.
