The Diamond Fly-In 2025 was a celebration of aviation passion, innovation and community, drawing Diamond aircraft owners and enthusiasts from across the region and beyond. The event offered a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in aircraft-focused workshops, enjoy demonstration flights and connect with fellow pilots in a relaxed and inspiring setting.
Launch of the Diamond Flying Club
A highlight of this year’s Fly-In was the introduction of the newly minted Diamond Flying Club (DFC). CEO Frank Zhang introduced the club during his opening remarks, emphasizing the shared passion and loyalty that unites Diamond owners.
“As Diamond owners and enthusiasts, we share a common philosophy, are deeply passionate about our brand and fiercely loyal to it,” said Zhang. “We created the Diamond Flying Club out of appreciation for this, meeting the demand from within our community for opportunities to share experiences – but we also created the DFC to grow the community itself, bringing the joy of the Diamond world to others.”
Attendees also met DFC Global General Secretary Sunny Guo, who presented the club’s first group of Diamond Ambassadors—a select circle of influential aviators chosen to represent the club’s values and help shape its future.
Workshops and Knowledge Sharing
The Fly-In offered a series of engaging workshop sessions, covering topics from aircraft maintenance and mechanics to advanced operational flying techniques. Jane Wang, Sales Director for Austria, highlighted the growth of Diamond’s ecosystem, including the launch of the Diamond Authorized Training Center Program, which recognizes top-tier flight training organizations through OEM endorsement.
“Events like this are more than just gatherings – they’re a celebration of the passion and innovation that define the Diamond family,” Wang said. “The Fly-In is a chance to strengthen connections, share knowledge and inspire the next generation of aviators.”
Community and Pilot Experiences
Diamond owners shared their experiences during a lively panel discussion featuring Diamond Pilots Association President Ed McDonald, Diamond Flying Club Ambassadors Felix Pahl and Rene Amstrup, DA50 RG owner Stefano Valli and Oliver Karall, CEO of Aviation Academy Austria. The panel highlighted the versatility and performance of Diamond aircraft in a variety of flying conditions.
Flights, Formation Displays and Entertainment
The event also featured demo flights, a company tour, live music and a group dinner. One of the highlights was the formation flying display, showcasing the DA62, DA50 RG, DA42-VI and DA40 in a signature diamond-shaped pattern flown by pilots Martin Scherrer, Mathias Hutterer, Stefan Pölzlbauer and Aron Luis Gilbertsson. The precision and beauty of these flights captivated attendees, providing a memorable aerial spectacle.
Celebrating Aviation Excellence
The Diamond Fly-In 2025 successfully blended education, community and entertainment, reflecting the brand’s commitment to its pilots and the broader aviation community. By fostering connections, sharing knowledge and celebrating innovation, the event reinforced why Diamond continues to inspire aviators around the world.
