Defining the right approach to aviation insurance
Aircraft Hull & Liability Provides the aircraft owner with a convenient package of coverage including physical damage, third party and passenger legal liability. Hull coverage is subject to a deductible and certain excluded risks can be insured separately.
Air Rescue DJA DJA Aviation’s bespoke emergency response product, managed by SATIB 24, covering all occupants of the specified aircraft, including pilots.
Hull War Risk Insurance Covers losses arising from risks excluded under the Hull All Risks policy, such as war, terrorism, sabotage, strike, riot, hijack, confiscation, etc.
Engine Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Mechanical breakdown is excluded under a Hull All Risks policy, but DJA has pioneered engine mechanical breakdown coverage in South Africa with its unique Turbosure and Pistonsure products.
Hull Deductible Insurance Enables the aircraft owner to reduce the hull deductible by means of separate insurance.
Seat Personal Accident Insurance Covers the occupants of the aircraft, including pilots, against accidental injury or death, providing specified benefits without regard for fault or negligence.
Private Airstrip/ Aerodrome/Helipad Liability Covers owners of landing facilities against potential liability arising from accidents involving aircrafts using the facilities.
Hangar/Airside Liability Provides indemnity for owners of hangars against liability arising from losses occurring in/around the hangar, as well as airside motor vehicle liability.
Pilot Excess Insurance Protects pilots in respect to their liability to pay an Excess/ Deductible applicable to Hull All Risks insurance and includes DJA’s bespoke emergency response product, Air Rescue DJA.
Loss of Licence Protects professional pilots against financial loss arising from the cancellation, suspension or withdrawal of their flying licence, due to ill- health or accidental injury.
Individual Personal Accident Insurance Provides pre-determined benefits following accidental injury sustained by the insured person, including, death, permanent disability, temporary disability and medical expenses.
Workshop liability Provides indemnity for maintenance facilities in respect to liability arising from their activities, including faulty workmanship, premises and hangar keepers (damage to customer-owned aircraft).
