Airbus Achieves Record Deliveries and Backlog in 2025

Airbus has concluded 2025 with a strong performance, delivering 793 commercial aircraft to 91 customers worldwide, marking a 4% increase year on year. The company also recorded 1,000 gross orders from 57 customers (889 net), including 49 A220s, 656 A320s, 100 A330neos, 2 A330 MRTTs and 193 A350s.

This robust delivery and order performance underscores the sustained global demand for Airbus’ diverse aircraft portfolio. The overall order backlog reached a record 8,754 aircraft, while the widebody backlog alone hit 1,124, reflecting confidence in the company’s long-term growth prospects.

In 2025, Airbus continued to expand its operator base with new customers for the A220, A321XLR, A330neo and A350-1000, alongside repeat orders from existing operators. The year also highlighted Airbus’ ability to navigate a complex and dynamic aviation environment while maintaining strong book-to-bill ratios.

Aircraft Delivery Breakdown:

  • A220 Family: 93 deliveries (up from 75 in 2024)
  • A320 Family: 607 deliveries (up from 602 in 2024)
  • A330 Family: 36 deliveries (up from 32 in 2024)
  • A350 Family: 57 deliveries (consistent with 2024)

The sustained growth in deliveries, coupled with record backlogs, positions Airbus strongly for the coming years as airlines worldwide continue to modernize fleets, meet growing passenger demand and expand regional and long-haul networks.

Airbus will release its full-year 2025 financial results on 19 February 2026, offering further insights into its commercial performance and strategic outlook.
