FlySafair unlocks the Kruger: New Cape Town–Hoedspruit route takes off

FlySafair is soaring to new heights with the launch of a direct route between Cape Town and Hoedspruit, offering seamless access to the heart of the Kruger National Park and surrounding private game reserves. This new service enhances safari tourism, giving local and international travellers more affordable, convenient entry to South Africa’s wildlife crown jewels.

By Jarryd Sinovich

Taking off from 2 October 2025, the flights will run three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—with fares starting from just R1,570 one way. This complements FlySafair’s existing Cape Town–Mbombela route, which will now fly daily to accommodate increasing demand.

“This is about more than flights,” said FlySafair CMO Kirby Gordon. “It’s about bringing South Africans closer to their natural heritage and opening the skies to global explorers eager to experience the magic of Kruger.”

With this move, FlySafair strengthens its position as a leader in affordable domestic travel, driving tourism and economic growth in Limpopo and Mpumalanga. Whether you’re chasing the Big Five or a weekend escape, your safari adventure just got a lot closer.

✈️ More routes. More access. More adventure. FlySafair is bringing the wild within reach.
